Grandma, mom, wife, sister, daughter, teacher, learner - but most of all, a fun communicator.  What better way to communicate than through stories?  From reading goodnight stories to my children and grandchildren to regaling my university students with tales about my 50 years in education, stories lead the way to engagement and imagination. As a retired Speech and Language Pathologist and a Teacher of the Deaf, I embrace communication in all forms.

I worked with students from pre-school through graduate school. In several of my university courses, writing a book was a capstone assignment and the students produced beautiful Big Books, children's picture and middle grade books, and parent information brochures and guidelines. These products, along with my grandchildren's request to "write me a story" lead me to write my first Middle Grade book series, The Orb Adventures. These stories are in REAL locations around the world. The main characters explore interesting places and encounter personal challenges. They learn about teamwork, friendship, resilience, critical thinking, and creative problem solving. All while having an adventure of a lifetime.

My new picture book series, STEAM4Littles, is for young children between 3-7 years. Each book focuses on some aspect of STEAM:Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math and taps into the natural curiosity little ones have about the world around them.

 

I love exploring the world and sharing those experiences with friends and family and I want to share that joy with YOU.

​When I am not writing or traveling, I live in Pittsburgh, PA with my most ardent supporters:

my husband, children, grandchildren, and 2 kitties.
