Mystery of the Wailing Woods
I picked this book as a bedtime read aloud for my kids. We read a couple chapters per night and they were more and more interested as the book when on. When we got about 3/4 of the way through the book, they read it on their own after I tucked them in because they couldn’t bear to wait any longer! The next morning they said I HAVE to read the end and they are trying not to tell me what happens. Although I haven’t read the end yet, this book is a winner for me because my kids couldn’t put it down! It’s a great nature adventure with a lot of descriptive language to make you feel like you are in the forest with them.“

Percival's Amazing Adventure
I guess I’ll be buying my grands stuffed penguins for the foreseeable future, because they fell in LOVE with both Percival & Penni! I was somewhat familiar with the Fairy Penguins (the movie, Oddball), but loved the way the author wove the story around an adventurous Emperor Penguin! So many great lessons taught here—friendship, family, adventure & rescue, and just the right touch of science!
